The Problem & Our Answer

Bad credit holds Canadians back.
We fix that.

One in five Canadians has at least one error on their credit report. Many more carry delinquent items that should be disputed, expired, or corrected — but nobody has shown them how.

What hurts your credit

  • Errors on your Equifax or TransUnion report holding your score down
  • Old collection accounts still showing after the 7-year window
  • Late payments from years ago blocking your mortgage approval
  • Duplicate accounts or debts that aren't even yours
  • No credit history as a newcomer to Canada

What ClearPath does for you

  • Full dual-bureau audit — Equifax and TransUnion reviewed side by side
  • Formal dispute letters sent to both bureaus and the original creditors
  • Goodwill letters to creditors requesting removal of late payment notations
  • Debt validation requests for collection accounts — many are unverifiable
  • Credit-building roadmap: secured cards, builder loans, utilization strategy

Every step is documented in a written agreement. You pay only after we produce a measurable improvement — as required by Ontario law.

Our Services

Every tool we use to rebuild
your credit file

We work across both Canadian bureaus, using proven dispute processes, creditor negotiations, and personalized coaching — all in writing, all compliant with the Ontario Consumer Protection Act.

Both bureaus

Dual-Bureau Credit Audit

We pull and compare your full Equifax and TransUnion reports side by side — identifying every error, outdated account, wrong balance, re-aged debt, and identity mix-up.

Legally compliant

Formal Dispute Filing

We draft and submit dispute letters to Equifax, TransUnion, and the original creditors using the correct legal framework — the process most Canadians get wrong.

Creditor negotiation

Goodwill & Negotiation Letters

For late payments where accounts are now current, we write goodwill removal requests directly to creditors — many agree to update your record, which can move your score significantly.

Expired items cleared

7-Year Delinquency Removal

Negative items that haven't automatically dropped after 7 years are a common problem. We file the correct requests to have overdue items removed when they've exceeded the reporting window.

Many debts unverifiable

Debt Validation Requests

Collection agencies are legally required to prove a debt is valid and still within the reporting window. Many cannot — and when they fail to validate, the item must be removed.

Long-term growth

Credit-Building Roadmap

Disputing errors is only half the job. We give you a personalized plan: secured credit cards, credit-builder loans, utilization coaching, and authorized-user strategies to grow your score long-term.

Every service is delivered under a written agreement as required by the Ontario Consumer Protection Act. Fees are charged only after a material improvement to your credit report — never upfront.

Common Questions

Honest answers to questions
Ontarians ask us most

Is credit repair legal in Ontario?

Yes — credit repair is a regulated service in Ontario under the Consumer Protection Act. We operate fully within that framework: every client receives a written agreement, there are no upfront fees, and you have a 10-day right to cancel without any reason or penalty.

How does the 'no upfront fees' rule work?

Ontario law prohibits credit repair companies from charging any fee before producing a material improvement to your credit report. We only invoice you after a negative item is removed, an error is corrected, or another measurable improvement is confirmed. This is the law — and it protects you.

Can you really remove 7-year-old delinquent items?

Many negative items should automatically drop from your report after 6–7 years under Canadian bureau rules, but sometimes they don't. We file the appropriate requests to have overdue items removed when they have exceeded the reporting window. Results depend on the specific item and bureau, but this is a common and often successful dispute.

Which credit bureaus do you work with?

We work with both major Canadian credit bureaus — Equifax Canada and TransUnion Canada. We pull your full report from each, compare them side by side, and file disputes with both simultaneously. Many clients don't realize their reports differ between bureaus.

How long does credit repair take?

Credit bureaus in Canada have 30 days to investigate and respond to a dispute. Simple corrections can happen faster; complex disputes involving original creditors or collection agencies may take 60–90 days per round. We track every dispute and follow up so you don't have to.

Can you help newcomers to Canada with no credit history?

Absolutely. Newcomers to Canada often face a frustrating gap — no local credit history, even with a good history abroad. We provide a tailored credit-building roadmap: secured credit cards, credit-builder loans, utilization coaching, and authorized-user strategies. Many clients go from no score to 700+ within 12–18 months.

What if I am planning to apply for a mortgage soon?

This is one of the most common reasons clients come to us. We prioritize the items most likely to affect a lender's decision: outstanding collections, high utilization, and incorrect derogatory items. We recommend starting the process at least 3–6 months before your planned application for the best results.

What is in the written agreement I sign?

Your written agreement — required by Ontario law — includes: a clear description of each service we will perform, what constitutes a successful result for that service, our fee structure (triggered only on results), and your 10-day cancellation right. You keep a copy. There are no hidden terms.
